It might be hard to see clearly with all the garage clutter. I’ll need to clean up tomorrow to give it a nicer place to stay.

Deck Before And After

Stacey was able to get the waterproof stain on the front porch one afternoon. Just a couple little things to fix on it now.

Still need to put the stain on the back deck, but we were able to finish building it. There are still a few boards that need to be replaced, but it is mostly done.

Here are a few more angles of the back.

Overall, a productive couple of days!

New TV In Our Future?

Stacey and I went TV shopping today. We had to traverse the rather rocky and controversial Plasma vs LCD debate. However, after speaking to the TV guy at Best Buy, and researching online, I feel that Plasma is the way to go.

We are now debating on the size that would fit our living room best. 42″ is our starting point, but I have found some 50″ for good prices as well, sometimes only 100 dollars above the price of the 42″. Incorporating a beast like that into our living room might be a challenge. If we stick to our current configuration, we may have to stick with a 42″.

Heat Control

I installed a new programable thermostat today. Just a little bit of drama because when I took the old thermostat off, a wire had popped off, and I wasn’t sure where it went. Good thing someone invented Google.com so that I could look up with the wires were supposed to be.

This weekend I was also able to install a couple of new electrical outlets. One in the living room, and one in the hallway were terrible. Plugs either wouldn’t fit, or would fit loosely. After spending 30 minutes (it was really more, but I am not saying how much more) figuring out which breaker went where, I was able to cut the power and work with the wires. The new outlets are great!
